The first two releases of the definitive “Chirping of Crickets” series, a compilation of the chirps of the insect “cricket” friends in four albums, have been completed. Currently, a total of 40 types are being distributed.

The high-quality and valuable “Crickets Chirping of Japan Archives Vol.1 (Insects Nature Sounds)” and “Crickets Chirping of Japan Archives Vol.2 (Insects Nature Sounds)” by sound artist Hideo Ueda, a pioneer of natural sound recording and a leading field recording artist in Japan, known for his many books and CD publications, are now available through Rest In Records, Inc. These are the latest in a series of “sound creature album” following Birds, Frogs, Cicadas, and Grasshoppers.

Hideo Ueda: Born in Tama City, Tokyo, Japan in 1953. Nature sound artist. Founded and represented “Ueda Nature Sound” in 1990. Japan’s leading field recording expert and pioneer of natural sound recording. He continues to digitally record the sounds of wild birds, insects, frogs, mammals, and other creatures in general, as well as the sounds of natural scenery. There are more than 500 species. He also shoots video and photography, and has published numerous books and CDs. The vast sound library has provided materials for a wide variety of applications, including co-authored books, textbooks and teaching materials, and commercials.
